Bracton DP1 & DP2 beerline cleaner can be switched to our innovative Low pH product to lower the risk assessment for the beerline cleaning process with no compromise on quality Bracton results. The pH of even the concentration at 11 (alkaline) has the effect of being less aggressive on skin and tissue if accidental contact should occur.
Precautions still need to be taken with concentrated form, however once diluted to the working solution, the low pH is rated in the same category as non-hazardous chemicals, alleviating dangers involved in accidental contact or consumption.
Naturally Bracton has tested and trialled this innovative product with major national breweries for many years, & with recent focus on health & safety issues, we feel that this will become a significant substitution for hazardous chemical use. Performance has always been Bracton's reputation and as you can expect, the cleaning results surpass the standard, approved by the major breweries.

MSDS is available here.Australia is in drought. Water is a finite resource which we should look to preserve where possible & save money. Bracton has been reviewing the way we do business and how we can help our customers reduce significantly their consumption of water, chemicals & CO2 emissions. The two main areas we noticed was in beerline cleaning & glass / dish washing.
During the beerline cleaning process, we have found that excessive water is used to wash the chemical solution out of the beerlines. We identified the main cause is that cellar man is not using safety equipment and has a caustic solution on their hands which remains slippery after the solution is well and truly gone, causing the cellar man to believe the chemical solution may still be in the lines wasting many litres of water per line, which equates to thousands of litres over the year.
Bracton offers a simple solution to this, Bracton test papers. The test papers quickly, accurately & safely identify if there is a beerline cleaning solution in the line. If the paper turns blue there remains solution in the line, otherwise the paper will remain pink identifying that the line is safe to be used again, limiting the waste of valuable water.
The second area Bracton identified as water waster is glasswasher. Non recirculating glasswashers waste so much water and chemical its hard to believe why they are allowed to be used. Below is a comparative chart based on 2007 figures for water, electricity & chemical cost / usage against a BR recirculating series glasswasher.
From the figures above it is easy to see how uneconomic non-recirculating glasswashers are, considering the alternatives. The water consumption is reduce from 7Lt to 3Lt a cycle, Electricity consumption is greatly reduced as less water has to be heated, thus reducing the CO2 emissions by 7.83 tonnes every year & chemical usage is reduced due to the reduced water consumption.
The labour component is from the need to hand scrub glasses before washing because of greasy hands, lip stick and so on. The BR series do not require this because they have top wash arms as well, over the typical non recirculating glasswashers that only use rinse arms.
